21100 Chips

The most interesting thing to happen this level was that the player in seat 6 woke up. He started taking some big pots with large raises and quickly built his stack to 35k+. Then he gets in a small blind/big blind battle. After a 10 8 3 flop he raised and the big blind, who was low, reraised significantly. Seat six then pushed on the BB, who quickly called with AA. Seat six had zero fold equity and turned over 8 3 for middle pair.

A few hands later, the big hand happened. Toto, who had about 14k, got involved with seat 6. There was some betting throughout and the final board read 10, 7, 6, 4, 3.

Seat six bets 8000 out of no where on the river. Toto takes his time and calls with???? Ace 4 for FOURTH pair. LOL. Seat 6 mucks. Very nice Toto.

Nothing much for me that level. Took a few blinds to stay even. Muddy is playing well and is up to 40k. Samenole was at 23k but was in a pot as we broke (again). 50 Antes next.

Getting whittled down. AK missed as did mid pair. 200/400 blinds now so it can go fast.

Took a big pot from Toto. I bet big on the river and he laid it down after the clock expired on him.

Muddywater, who has been active, was in a big hand when the break hit ... probably the biggest hand at my table so far. Bax had said the first day is like a PokerStars $10 rebuy. Not my table. I'm in seat 1 with muddywater in 2, a big reraiser in 3, SamENole in 4 (playing much more actively than his rep), and Toto Leonidas in seat 6. Others are playing tight but not overly so. Not seeing many showdowns. Muddy did call me down with 2nd pair ... cash game donks can't lay down. ;-)

Some Notes

I'm not sure how Debo ended up last night, but around 1am PT he told me that he had laid down QQ twice, once on a Jack high flop after a guy shoved 40k into the pot. Somehow he was able to keep his stack at 60k at the time.

It looks like play ended last night around 3:30am pt. Yikes. Should I call Bax and ask him if he wants to get breakfast?

Not sure of Sheets table yet for today, but it will be interesting to see if he pulls a typical "Sheets" and flies in this morning.

Met "napi time" on the elevator heading down to the Amazon room. She won $10,000 at a Caesar's tournament!! Congrats and good luck napi!

GL all today.

Tied for the chip lead and playing very well ... haven't lost a hand yet.

Play starts in less then two hours thou, but so far so good. Annette advised me to fold till the dinner break. I told her: "Don't I always."

I'm at Table 117, seat 1.

4 Giants!

Mark "PokerHo" Kroon is off to a great start and is over 120,000 chips. One big hand was a set over set win. GO HO! (Waves to his fans at his bar!). Ho asked me to take a photo before he lost all of his chips. ;-)

Rising online star Dag Martin "Dmmikkel" Mikkelsen is hitting on all cylinders and is at 130k. In the shot below, Annette provides support from the rail.

Here is a shot of two giants of online poker: Annette and Sorel Mizzi. Annette challenged me to a $10,000 heads up match using the pretty cool heads up electronic machines they are demonstrating here. I politely declined.

Bax & Debo Rolling

JohnnyBax pushed his stack to close to 90k after his KK held against a strong player's open straight draw.

Debo is now up to 60k after winning a nice pot. Debo raised and was reraised preflop. After a long thought he called. After a series of checks, Debo bet out on the river and wasn't called.
