Fri, 14 Nov 2008 16:11:13 -0500 PXF's Bankroll Management System http://www.pokerxfactor.com/problog/view/100183/?t=pxf I've posted a video that gives a quick overview on how our subscribers can use the PXF Bankroll Management System. We've already added some new features since the video came out. I think the Daily Recap email is a great tool for you to review your play. I know it can be hard to go look at a hand history after a long session. The recap email, if you set it up, can send you a review of your play the day before including hands to look at and journal entries. [Video Removed]I hope PXF subscribers take advantage of it!Scottmindwise Tue, 14 Oct 2008 15:56:49 -0400 Adding Audio to Replayer Video http://www.pokerxfactor.com/problog/view/100177/?t=pxf Hey,We've created a video to help our subscribers add their own audio comments to their hand histories. This feature in the PXF Replayer allows subscribers to create their own "videos" without buying software. Subscribers can add their audio comments, add questions, and ask for feedback. Then other players can add their own audio to the hand history (if the original poster allows it), creating a poker "conversation" about key hands. This is a large size video, so use the "view in new window" option to best watch it... I mentioned in my previous blog that I was hoping for an easier starting table than last year, which had three pros to my left. I got my wish and the day was pretty straightforward. I had a good player two to my right, a contest winner (via a drawing out of a barrel) to my immediate right, and then some definitely good/solid players as well as some weak players to my left. The very nice, older gentleman to my right who won the drawing had never played live before and was doing things like folding when it was checked to him... Wed, 09 Jul 2008 11:56:46 -0400 WSOP Main Event http://www.pokerxfactor.com/problog/view/100127/?t=pxf I flew into Vegas yesterday afternoon, checked in at the Rio, dropped my bags and headed down to watch some of the Day 1c action. First up was a walk through the Gaming Life Expo, which seems smaller this year. It wasn't that crowed yet but the guys at the twoplustwo booth said it picks up when the authors start signing books. I found Rizen's table as well as SJMIN's seat. SJMIN was the winner of the Backed by Bax/Sheets contest after he had a monster May then won a single table deathmatch against other top PXF MTT League players... Sun, 06 Jul 2008 12:50:48 -0400 Audio in Replayer: Multi-Hand History http://www.pokerxfactor.com/problog/view/100122/?t=pxf Below is the first multiple hand history that we used to test the "audio in replayer" function. For those who missed it, we've been working on making it possible for PXF Subscribers to easily add audio comments to their HH in the replayer -- just with a few button clicks. The owner of the HH will also be able to give permission for others to also add their audio comments/questions in the replayer. The result, we think, is that poker "conversations" with a lot of educational value may happen. This first test seems to show that is certainly possible... Wed, 02 Jul 2008 15:55:21 -0400 WSOP Report -- June 20th. http://www.pokerxfactor.com/problog/view/100110/?t=pxf Today's event, #37 $2k PL Holdem, drew about 650 players and will pay 65 or so. It started good. A pro kept trying to push me off my tens and I kept calling and went to 7k early (started with 4k). After the break, I had a long run of folding, playing just a few pots and was down to 4k or so but then called a raiser and flat caller from the BB with KJ. Flop was Jack high, original raiser lead pretty big and he was flat called again, I re-potted all-in and they folded and I went into the break with 8k... Fri, 20 Jun 2008 23:59:19 -0400 WSOP Report http://www.pokerxfactor.com/problog/view/100108/?t=pxf I could probably go back one year and just repost my blog from then because, like last year, I bubbled the $1500 NL on my first day at the WSOP. I finished 209 out of 2447 with the top 198 paying. Although it obviously sucks to bubble it really wasn't painful. I had been down to 1300 chips and sucked out hours before just to stay alive. Really the worst part of the day is that I'm fighting some sort of throat problem and I've lost my voice ... and have a hard time talking to all the subscribers and pros I'm meeting... Fri, 20 Jun 2008 14:14:58 -0400 WSOP: Event 36 NLH $1500 http://www.pokerxfactor.com/problog/view/100106/?t=pxf I flew into Vegas early last night. The flight crew excitedly told everyone that we were on a new plane. Nice. Except that it was so new that they had not yet installed video screens -- so no movies for 5 hours. I wonder briefly what else they had not installed then read my ebooks the rest of the time.Got to the Rio but couldn't check in because the room last night was in my brother's name and his flight was delayed. Hint about check in: if you have a Harrah's Total Rewards card already -- that is the same as the Gold Card, so you can use the faster check in... Thu, 19 Jun 2008 13:48:08 -0400
