Another Blogging Sunday

So I'm going to do another one of these "all day" blogs while I play my Sunday tournaments. I'm starting out with the Pokerstars Sunday Million and the Full Tilt Double Deuce. The inaugural Double Deuce was last week and I of course missed it but I registered for this week's tournament a full week in advance so I wouldn't miss it again. I mean a $22 mtt where 1st prize is $27k - that's just sick!!
Shaundeeb is at my Sunday Million table. Amazingly he was only playing four other games on Pokerstars at the start of the Sunday Million. Maybe he's getting a late start to the day....

Nearly 2k people are already out from the Double Deuce and we haven't hit the break yet. Not much doing in the Million yet. The Cake $250k gntd and the Pokerstars $80k gtnd just got started as well.

I've got six games going now with the addition of the $750k gntd and the $21k gntd on Full Tilt. I don't have a great stack anywhere yet - more or less just grinding it out right now.

Out of the $80k gntd. Ran AK into K4 on K4x flop and not enough chips left to do anything other than get it in on the flop. Still battling in the Million...getting short in the Cake $250k gntd. Oops - out of the miilion! 66 in the BB for me vs QQ in the SB for him.....

Out of the Cake $250k gntd. 44<66. He actually flopped quads eliminating any sweat action on the turn or river. Just doubled through in the $750k gntd KK>TT. Pokerstars Second Chance going now and three more games coming in twenty minutes.....Also managed to squeeze in dinner for me and the kids since the last update. My family always has macaroni on Sundays. I had everything ready to go before I started playing and managed to get it all done while playing 4-5 games. I hate playing through dinner and don't usually do this but sometimes on Sunday I just do what I got to do. Doubled up in the Double Deuce TT>AK!!

So the early games really never got going today. Out of the Million, the Cake $250k, the $80k, and the Double Deuce and the Second Chance. I'm also out very quickly from the $40k. This leaves me with four games but in each of those I actually have some chips. Here is hoping the secong half of my Sunday goes better....

And then there were three!! The $750k, the Mulligan and the $100k on Stars. I have decent stacks in all three games and with a little luck hopefully we will get a chance at some cashes and some deep runs. I think at this point in my poker career I'm not fazed by much at the tables. Even though nothing got off to a good start today I'm fully aware that it only takes one game to make my entire day.

The real test in life (and poker) is not how you handle things when they are going well but how you deal with adversity. Luckily I still have some chips and hopefully I can find a spot to double through.

We recovered and sucked out when needed to actually get our first cash of the day in the $750k gntd. Sitting 270/501 after the money bubble broke....Also still hanging on in the Mulligan even though QJ<23. :( 212/251 in that one with 108 getting paid.

Out of everything now. It was a real roller coaster at the end of the $750k. One cash out of ten games and nothing really deep. Good thing there is always tomorrow. :)
