CHANGES TO PXF AND AUGUST CALENDAR
Tuesday, August 2nd 2011 10:18 am

We will be making some changes to the PXF video release schedule over the next few months. The goal will be to provide a diverse video lineup that covers different buyin levels, game types, instructors and video types. We will be trying new concept videos and looking for your feedback to see what works and what doesn't. Things have gotten a little stale as we worked through the events of Black Friday and the slower video months due to the WSOP.

YOU CAN EXPECT THAT TO CHANGE!

Beginning in September, we will be providing you with a full training and instructional schedule two months at a time. This will allow people to know exactly what content is coming and when. I assure you it will be more than just videos and chat sessions. As we iron out all the details, I would like to take a moment to all of you for being patient with us the last few months. Black Friday caused a sticky wicket for online poker players in the US. We have sorted out our plans for PXF going forward and your feedback has been very valuable in that process. I hope that you will all continue to enjoy being part of this community for the foreseeable future.

Since August is a transition from our current schedule to the new schedule, I thought I would just outline the entire month's video lineup for you rather than give you the day by day, week to week updates as we had been doing. This is just a glimpse into how things will be for September and beyond...

  • WSOP bracelet winner Ryan Welch is back and reviewing a final table appearance in the Pokerstars Sunday Warmup. Ryan also discusses how his summer went at this year's WSOP.
  • Frank 'blueberleez' Jordan dives into the late night "$50 Cubed" on Pokerstars. Frank talks about the benefits of being deeper stacked and playing against fewer regs than in other MTTs.
  • For the SNG players, Beanmo looks at two turbo SNGs on Full Tilt (a $60 and a $119.) He discusses opening ranges for various table positions and breaks down the mistakes he sees players making.
  • Sheets does some analysis on how best to play a 20BB stack in MTTs. He looks at button vs small blind vs big blind scenarios and tackles the raise/call, raise/fold, or open shove dilemmas that players face in today's aggressive MTTs.
  • Hatfield plays some Triple Draw 2-7 Home Games and expands upon the strategies he outlined in his recent chat session on the same topic.

In addition to those specific videos, we will continue to post as many of the recorded chat sessions as we have available to keep you up-to-date if you couldn't attend the live session.

I just saw this and it looks to be interesting Mark. I'll post a link on the board.
Hope all is going well.
